The Chargers will be halfway through their 2020 schedule following the Week 9 matchup against the Raiders and while it’s still a long ways to go, where they could be picking in the 2021 NFL draft is starting to shape up.
Following the Week 8 loss to the Broncos, Los Angeles currently holds the No. 8 overall selection.
There’s still plenty of football left to be played, which means that this will fluctuate quite a bit. But given how L.A. hasn’t been able to close out games this season, they could be chilling with a top-10 pick.
Despite being 2-5, there’s a lot on the line, including job security among both players and coaches. Therefore, I expect the Chargers to piece it together, which would at least take them out of at least the top-5.
