Update: ESPN’s David Pollack has ‘heard’ Steve Sarkisian turned Texas down

In a whirlwind of event around Texas Longhorns football program, David Pollack of ESPN states that Steve Sarkisian turned down the job.

What would a Texas Longhorns head coaching search be without a little bit of drama? News broke that Tom Herman was terminated on Saturday morning and his replacement would be Alabama’s offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian.

Sarkisian had two different stints with the Crimson Tide sandwiched around a stint in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons. Now the Longhorns have zeroed in on him as the next head coach for Texas. Although, maybe there should be some brake pumping when it comes to getting too excited about the possibility of landing Sark as the guy for Texas. At least according to ESPN’s David Pollack.

That would be quite the turn of events on Saturday morning. Relieving Tom Herman of his duties to naming his successor to being turned down in a matter of hours. Nothing is official until it is official, but Pollack is a trusted media member when it comes to college football.

The question now is, are you entertained?
