The UNC Women’s basketball program will be on the road for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge this year, and like the men’s team, they are heading to Indiana.
UNC will take on the Indiana Hoosiers on Dec. 1st, giving a new spotlight to the program. UNC beat the Minnesota Golden Gophers 82-76 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge last year as they began to turn the program around and eventually reach the Sweet 16. Alyssa Ustby led all scorers with 19 in that game, and Deja Kelly tacked on 15 herself.
This is the perfect game for UNC to test their waters against elite competition with both teams’ final game coming in the Sweet 16 this past season. This will be the third time these two teams meet in school history with the last matchup dating back to the 1988-89 season.
