The North Carolina men’s basketball program has slowly announced some of its opponents for this upcoming season, and now we can add Kentucky to the list.
The school announced Tuesday that the Tar Heels will take on the Wildcats on December 16th in Atlanta, Georgia. The two teams will face off for the 10th annual CBS Sports Classic, with an approximate tip-off time of 5:30. CBS will broadcast the event while simultaneously being streamed on Paramount+.
UNC has had its fair share of success in the CBS Sports Classic, heading into this meeting with a 6-3 record.

Last season, the Heels took down Ohio State in New York, erupting Madison Square Garden with an 89-84 win in overtime. This game will be the 43rd meeting between the Tar Heels and Wildcats, with UNC leading the series 25-17.
North Carolina calendar is filling up with notable teams, giving UNC a good shot at a high seed come March Madness if they can capitalize.
