UNC Football vs. Miami game could be a primetime showdown

The Week 7 matchup between North Carolina and Miami could be a primetime showdown between the two teams.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are 4-0 this season and fresh off a much-needed bye week after beating Pitt on the road a few Saturdays back.

Next up for the Tar Heels is a home game against Syracuse as they will play three-straight games in Chapel Hill in October. That’s a big advantage for a team that is currently ranked No. 13 in the coaches poll. While the Orange remain the focus for this week, a big game against No. 17 Miami looms the following week.

And the two teams could meet in primetime for that game.

The ACC has yet to announce the time for that matchup between the Tar Heels and Hurricanes as its in the holding cycle. The two teams will meet at either 12:00 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.

The game will be broadcast on ABC and if both teams win this week, it will likely be in the primetime slot. That would be the second primetime nationally televised game for the Tar Heels this season.

But first things first, UNC has to take care of business against Syracuse.
