UNC football lands edge rusher for 2024 class

The UNC football program landed a big edge rusher in the 2024 class on Thursday.

Mack Brown and the UNC football program have added to their 2024 recruiting class on Thursday.

Edge rusher and Memphis, Tennessee native Daniel Anderson pledged his verbal commitment to the program, just a week after receiving an offer from the program via Inside Carolina. Anderson visited North Carolina last weekend just days after getting his official offer.

The visit was enough for Anderson to end his commitment and commit to North Carolina.

Anderson had a total of 13 offers in his recruitment and was generating interest from programs like Duke, Miami (Ohio), Wake Forest, Duke, Memphis and Coastal Carolina among others. But in the end, it was the Tar heels that won him over.

The 6-foot-2, 245-pound edge rusher is currently not ranked in the 247Sports 2024 rankings.

He was the sixth player to commit to the Tar Heels in the 2024 class which currently ranks No. 21 early in the cycle.
