UNC football hosts transfer offensive lineman

The UNC football porgram hosted an offensive lineman for a recent visit.

Mack Brown and the North Carolina Tar Heels will look to build up the offensive line this offseason as they will lose a few key players. With the transfer portal being active already, the Tar Heels will have their options.

And recently, they hosted an offensive lineman for a visit.

North Texas offensive lineman Howard Sampson took a visit to Chapel Hill on Friday for a visit. Sampson entered the portal shortly after the Mean Green’s regular season ended and he was quick to work on a visit to the Tar Heels.

Sampson has a connection with North Carolina as Randy Clements was on the Mean Green staff and helped recruit the offensive lineman. While he was at North Texas for two years, Sampson didn’t see a whole lot of playing time and appeared in just two games this past season.

The 6-foot-8, 325-pound offensive tackle is a Texas native and had 8 offers in his recruitment.

He’s likely to take more visits in his new recruitment before a decision but UNC is expected to be one of the favorites in this race.
