UNC basketball transfer target could decide relatively shortly per analyst

The recruitment for Stanford forward Harrison Ingram could be coming to an end soon and the UNC basketball program has work to do.

Stanford forward Harrison Ingram has substantial buzz surrounding his recruitment since he entered the portal a few weeks back. That interest includes North Carolina, which is one of the teams set to visit Ingram in Texas for an in-home visit this weekend.

Ingram plans to visit Kansas on Monday. Following that visit, a decision could be looming.

247Sports recruiting analyst Eric Bossi wrote on the latest surrounding Ingram and where he’s at in his recruitment. Many believe this is a two-horse race between the Tar Heels and Jayhawks and a decision could come soon per Bossi:

Based on the intel that has made its way to 247Sports, Ingram could be looking to decide relatively shortly after this flurry of visits.

Ingram is one of the top recruits in the transfer portal so there’s really no surprise that both UNC and Kansas are after him. Both programs have needs on the wing and with Ingram being a versatile player, he fits that need for either team.

The Tar Heels were rumored to be the favorites for Ingram early on, but the Jayhawks have really picked up steam and appear to be the favorites now. Kansas has even picked up some crystal ball predictions for Ingram, signalling that UNC may have to make up some ground.

This weekend’s visit becomes that much more important.
