UNC basketball assistant watches five-star 2025 prospect

The UNC basketball program was on the road visiting a 2025 five-star prospect in Charlotte.

A new period of college basketball recruiting is open as coaches are on the road to visit players. And the UNC Basketball program wasted no time in hitting the road.

On Tuesday, North Carolina assistant Jeff Lebo was in Charlotte to visit a big five-star recruiting target at Myers Park High School. Per Alex Karamanos of The Circuit, Lebo was watching power forward Sadiq White.

The Charlotte native is a five-star prospect who is among the best in the 2025 class and has 4 offers, with Alabama, Florida State, Syracuse and South Carolina offering so far. But with UNC showing interest, they shouldn’t be too far behind.

The 6-foot-7, 180-pound White is ranked No. 21 nationally, the No. 7 power forward and No. 1 player in the state of North Carolina per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.

With Hubert Davis and his staff holding the No. 1 class for the 2024 cycle, it’s important that they build on that moving forward and that starts with the 2025 class.
