UNC basketball among programs to reach out to this 4-star recruit

Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program is one of two teams that has recently reached out to this 2024 in-state point guard.

Four-star shooting guard [autotag]Trey Parker[/autotag] is starting to see his recruitment pick up a bit here in the Summer and that includes new interest from some top programs.

The Charlotte, North Carolina native has drawn interest from a bunch of programs so far in his recruitment but now the 2024 prospect is hearing from UNC and Arizona. Parker talked to Jamie Shaw of On3 at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam this week to update his recruitment here as July concludes and he revealed that the Tar Heels and Wildcats are the latest programs to reach out and show interest in him.

“North Carolina and Arizona both just called me yesterday,” Parker said. “They said they liked my game and were impressed with how I brought my team back for the win. They said they knew I could score it but were impressed with how I play without scoring the ball.”

Parker has offers from Kansas State, Ole Miss, Hampton, New Mexico, Mississippi State and NC A&T so far in his recruitment. However, with things starting to pick up and an impressive showing at the Peach Jam, more offers are likely on the way.

With UNC potentially needing a point guard in the 2024 class, Parker could make a lot of sense for them. We will continue to monitor his recruitment and UNC’s involvement.
