The Georgia Bulldogs completed their second preseason scrimmage on Saturday. Following the scrimmage, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart publicly announced Carson Beck is Georgia’s starting quarterback.
Multiple Malaki Starks tackles, a Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint catch, several Andrew Paul runs and catches, a few Gunner Stockton throws, a Dominic Lovett touchdown, a Daylen Everette interception and more are featured in the highlight video.
Smart noted Georgia’s second scrimmage was better than the first.
I was very pleased with the improvement from scrimmage one to scrimmage two.
However, Kirby Smart thinks Georgia needs to improve more. The Bulldogs have a very high standard and Georgia is not meeting it yet.
I thought this scrimmage two was probably behind where we’ve been the last two years on scrimmage two but a lot further than where we were on scrimmage one. The progress we made was good but we’re not where we need to be.
