UGA adopts new slogan ahead of Sugar Bowl

Kirby Smart has Georgia football preaching a new slogan ahead of Monday night.

Following a rollercoaster of a season that saw huge wins, internal drama, and culminated in a disappointing blowout SEC Championship loss to LSU, the Dawgs are now trying to find new ways to focus on their upcoming Sugar Bowl matchup with the Baylor Bears.

Kirby Smart recently told a group of reporters that the Dawgs’ slogan for this week has been “This trip, this team and this game.”

Of course, this team- the iteration of the Dawgs that will be taking the field Monday night-is going to be a lot different than the squad that we have seen throughout the season. Starters like Andrew Thomas and Brian Herrien won’t be with the team, while the status of D’Andre Swift and others remains unclear.

Last year, the Dawgs also played in the Sugar Bowl, but did not appear up for the challenge, as the Texas Longhorns dominated the game and took the victory. With this new slogan intact, hopefully Kirby Smart’s team will be more focused and energized this go around.
