The UFC hasn’t held an event in London since UFC Fight Night 147 in March 2019, which was headlined by welterweights Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal. “Gamebred” ended up silencing the home crowd when he knocked Till out in the second round.
In March 2020, Leon Edwards was scheduled to headline a card against former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in London, but the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The UFC then targeted a London return on Sept. 4, but that event ended up at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas after ongoing issues with COVID-19.
The current UFC Fight Night lineup for March 19 includes:
- Jake Hadley vs. Allan Nascimento
- Luana Carolina vs. Molly McCann
- Cody Durden vs. Muhammad Mokaev
- Makwan Amirkhani vs. Mike Grundy
- Jack Shore vs. Timur Valiev
- Shamil Abdurakhimov vs. Tom Aspinall
