UFC fighter accidentally gets Beyoncé ‘Halo’ as walk-up music, starts singing along anyway

“Is this [expletive] ‘Halo?'” Perry asked to his corner as they walked out.

Mike Perry was walking into his UFC 255 bout on Saturday night when an unexpected song started blaring over the loudspeakers.

“Is this [expletive] ‘Halo?'” Perry asked to his corner as they walked out.

It was indeed the track “Halo” by Beyoncé. Somehow, Perry’s first choice for walk-up song hadn’t been available, so they went with a dreamy slow jam for him to enter to.

Perry didn’t let that phase him, however. He leaned into the moment, and started belting out the words along with the song just before the official checked him in. The man went for it, and we should applaud him for that.

Perry ended up losing a decision to Tim Means in their welterweight fight, and I’m not sure if we should be blaming Beyoncé for that or not.
