UFC Fight Night 210 video: Nikolas Motta scores TKO, pleads for bonus after being ‘broke for 10 years’

UFC lightweight Nikolas Motta laid out his financial struggles after getting his first octagon win by TKO at UFC Fight Night 210.

[autotag]Nikolas Motta[/autotag] was clearly confident in his left hook against [autotag]Cameron VanCamp[/autotag], and it’s eventually what got him the win at UFC Fight Night 210.

Motta (13-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) timed his shots over and over in the lightweight bout with VanCamp (15-7-1 MMA, 0-2 UFC) on Saturday at the UFC Apex. He eventually connected with the perfect left hand that dropped his opponent, then he pounced with ground shots for the TKO at the 3:49 mark of Round 1.

After losing his UFC debut to Jim Miller earlier this year, Motta bounced back and got in the UFC win column for the first time. He pushed for a post-fight bonus afterward, talking about his financial struggles as he’s tried to work his way to the top of the sport.

“I’ve been doing that for 10 years. I’ve been broke for 10 years,” Motta said in his post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier. “I live in like f*cking 30 different houses, basements, all that type of sh*t. Even the favela. Everyone knows me in the game because of this. … If I could get like $50,000, that would change my life.”
