[autotag]Alexander Hernandez[/autotag] and [autotag]Thiago Moises[/autotag] have gotten their wish.
The lightweights, who both called for a matchup against one another as the new year approached, have been paired up and will fight on the UFC Fight Night card Feb. 27. The event takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
After starting his UFC tenure off on a two-fight winning streak, Hernandez (12-3 MMA, 4-2 UFC) was handed his first promotional loss by Donald Cerrone in January 2019. Since that defeat, Hernandez has gone 2-1 with wins over Francisco Trinaldo and, most recently, Chris Gruetzemacher.
Moises (14-4 MMA, 3-2 UFC) enters his matchup with Hernandez on the first winning streak of his UFC career. Following a 1-2 start with the promotion, Moises has won back-to-back fights against Michael Johnson and Bobby Green.
With the addition, the UFC Fight Night lineup for Feb. 27 includes:
- Dominick Reyes vs. Jiri Prochazka
- Raphael Assuncao vs. Raoni Barcelos
- William Knight vs. Alonzo Menifield
- Alexis Davis vs. Sabina Mazo

- Hannah Cifers vs. Emily Whitmire
