UFC 265 Aldo vs. Munhoz: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Jose Aldo (29-7-0) | Munhoz (19-5-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

BET on PEDRO MUNHOZ (+100) as he’s the more aggressive fighter and has fought better as of late.

Munhoz has defeated a top-15 bantamweight fighter and taken the champion the distance in his last three fights. Averaging a lofty 5.6 significant strikes per minute, Munhoz is both a competent grappler and striker.

Eight of his 19 wins have come via submission, so while he doesn’t get on the ground often he is lethal when he gets there.

Aldo is an experienced and competent fighter but is just 1-3 in his last four bouts and is on a downward slide.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 2.5 (-220) despite the steep value. Both of these fighters like to brawl and typically avoid going to the ground.

Neither average over a takedown per 15 minutes and both have over 80 percent takedown defensive rate. Grappling likely won’t be a major focus in this fight.

Neither fighter has had a bout go under three rounds since early 2019. While betting that the five-round match goes the distance is a bit trickier, Over 2.5 should hit with ease.
