The UFC was one of the last major sports organizations to hold a live competitive event in March while most of the world was under lockdown due to the coronavirus crisis, and the organization is set to become on of the first to resume activity with the announcement of a pay-per-view event set to be staged on May 9th.
UFC announced the card for UFC 249 on Friday, which will kick off a week of three major UFC events in the span of seven days. UFC is planning a total of three cards to be held at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, with fights on May 9th (UFC 249), May 13th and May 16th. No fans will be in attendance for any of the events.
The card for UFC’s return on May 9th is stacked, with several PPV-level bouts on the prelim card, along with two title fights on the UFC 249 main card. Here’s the full list of fights set for UFC 249:
