Where Laiatu Latu will land in the 2024 NFL Draft remains a mystery. Will he go top-ten? Will he fall as far as #25? One thing is certain, however: Latu will be a first-rounder.
In Kieth Sanchez’s latest mock draft for The Draft Network, Latu lands with the Chicago Bears at #9 overall.
Chicago, who in all likelihood will draft USC quarterback Caleb Williams at #1 overall, add to their defense with their second pick. The first edge rusher taken in the draft, according to Sanchez’s mock, the Bears add Latu to secure an important piece on their defensive line.
With great NFL Combine results and a hardware-laden 2023 season, Latu is a dynamic addition to the Bears defense. Able to stuff the run and rush the passer, the Bears would have a talented defensive player on their team opposite Williams on offense.
If the Bears are serious about building around Williams and reclaiming relevancy, having Latu on defense could certainly help them do so at #9 overall.
