UCLA OL Benjamin Roy enters transfer portal

Another portal departure for UCLA.

There have been a lot of changes over the past few days for the UCLA Bruins football program. After the Spring Game on Saturday, they got a commitment from Houston OL Reuben Unije in a big commitment.

But, on Monday, Benjamin Roy decided to enter the transfer portal. Roy is a redshirt junior who has battled injuries throughout his college career.

Roy was expected to be a key piece to the UCLA offensive line a year ago before suffering an injury and playing in just one game in 2023.

This Spring, Roy has yet to appear as he deals with a nagging back injury. And, now he enters the portal just before the Spring window closes.

The Bruins also brought in UNLV OL Alana Makihele, so Roy’s departure isn’t that surprising given the current state of the positional group.

Roy made the announcement with an X post which included some of his highlights.
