Tyrese Maxey listed as probable to return for Sixers vs. Pelicans

Tyrese Maxey is officially listed as probable to return for the Philadelphia 76ers against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Philadelphia 76ers will take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday to continue their four-game road trip. They are 1-1 on the trip after a loss to the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, but they have a chance to bounce back in New Orleans while getting some help back.

Tyrese Maxey, who hasn’t played since Nov. 18 due to a left foot fracture, returned to practice on Thursday, and the injury report lists Maxey as probable to return against the Pelicans. He will likely come off the bench if he does return, but his return is a big development for Philadelphia moving forward.

Maxey is averaging 22.9 points and 4.4 assists while shooting 42.2% from deep in the 15 games he has played. Considering De’Anthony Melton has played so well with the starters, Maxey might be coming off the bench to start, but there is no doubt he will be involved with the offensive game plan.

Tipoff from Smoothie King Center is set for 8:30 p.m. EST.
