Tyrese Haliburton pointed and laughed at his defender after hitting an absurd 3-pointer

Haliburton knew his man couldn’t guard him.

The Indiana Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks yet again thanks to another incredible performance by Tyrese Haliburton.

During the victory, Haliburton finished with 31 points and 12 assists without recording a turnover. Early in the game, while defended by Milwaukee’s Cam Payne, the guard hit a 3-pointer off the dribble.

After connecting on the difficult shot, while also drawing contact from his defender, Haliburton had an incredible reaction. He pointed and laughed as if to indicate to the crowd that Payne could not guard him.

While some might view this as disrespectful, Haliburton was right. There was absolutely nothing that Payne (or nearly any other player in the league) could have done.

Only three players in the league (Luka Doncic, Jalen Brunson, Trae Young) have scored more points per game on dribble jumpers so far this season, per Synergy.

Haliburton is also one of the leaders in 3-pointers made after seven or more dribbles, via NBA.com.
