Projected second-round pick Tyler Bey reportedly set the max vertical record for forwards at the NBA draft combine, according to Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report.

The 22-year-old was among the prospects invited to participate in the combine this year, which was held virtually and in-person. Among the evaluations, the prospects took part in various measurements and medical testing at team practice facilities around the league.

Bey measured in at 6-foot-6 without shoes and posted a 43.5-inch max vertical leap, the highest-ever at his position. He recorded a 7-foot-1.25 wingspan during the testing and also had just 5% body fat, according to the report.

By all accounts, Bey had a strong showing in the measurement portion of the NBA draft combine. Of course, other players have previously posted higher max verticals, such as Kenny Gregory (45.5″) and Pat Connaughton (44″), but they were listed at different positions.

Bey has known to be an athletic player but his combine measurements prove that he is one of the most athletic in this draft class. Given his athleticism, and ability on the defensive end, he should be a strong two-way option for teams to consider on Nov. 18.
