Two predictions entered for five-star LB Anthony Hill in favor of Texas

Texas appears to be emerging as the slight favorite for the nation’s No. 1 linebacker in the 2023 class.

Could Texas get any hotter on the recruiting trail?

Steve Sarkisian’s staff has hauled in commitments from eight players in the 2023 class over the last week, headlined by five-star quarterback Arch Manning and five-star safety Derek Williams.

Now, the Longhorns appear to be emerging as the slight favorite for the nation’s No. 1 linebacker in the 2023 recruiting class. Two Rivals predictions were entered for five-star linebacker Anthony Hill in favor of Texas this week.

Texas A&M was viewed as the favorite in his recruitment for quite some time, but Hill’s official visit to Austin last weekend seemed to have gone as well as one could hope.

The Denton native is rated the No. 1 linebacker in the country and the No. 2 overall prospect in the state of Texas for 2023, according to 247Sports composite rankings.

In 2021, Hill was named a first-team MaxPreps Junior All-American and Class 5A first-team all-state selection by the Texas Sportswriters Association. He compiled 131 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, eight sacks, two forced fumbles and two interceptions.
