Two Penn State Class of 2022 recruits upgraded to five-stars

Penn State’s Class of 2022 was already great, but now it is even better.

It’s been a pretty big week in terms of recruiting for Penn State football.

First, the 2022 recruiting class just got even better. Penn State now has three five-star players in their incoming class.

We already know Drew Allar was upgraded to a five-star recruit by 247Sports. This week, you can add two more to that list.

The first one is running back Nicholas Singleton. Penn State had a really shaky run game all year. Singleton has the talent to be the running back the Nittany Lions have been looking for since Saquon Barkley.

It’s likely Singleton will compete for the starting job next season. The Nittany Lions running back room saw limited flashes in the run game all season.

The next one is one of the most impressive defensive recruits in this class in defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton.

We have seen a flurry of Penn State defensive players make their way to Happy Valley and leave a substantial impact. Arnold Ebiketie is a perfect example of that.

He shined in the All-American Bowl and has made some jaw-dropping plays in defensive drills.

To round up the week, Penn State also grabbed a walk-on offensive tackle in Jim Fitzgerald. The 2022 recruit from Severn, Maryland had no Power Five offers, but garnered a bit of interest from the Nittany Lions, hence the reason why they offered him a walk-on scholarship on Tuesday.

Penn State has some exciting talent coming in on both sides of the ball. Their defense has some exciting players coming in, but also plenty of big holes to replace.
