Two high priority 2024 prospects are predicted to land with Texas A&M

Two 2024 prospects, including 4-star WR Drelon Miller and 4-star LB Tyanthony Smith, have received a prediction to land with Texas A&M.

Welcome to the first day of the recruiting dead period, which for the next month, Texas A&M, like every other football program in the country, it is “not permissible” to make in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations, both on and off campus, meaning unofficial and official visits are not allowed during this time.

However, that, of course, does not include commitments. For the Aggies, two high-priority prospects in the 2024 cycle, including four-star wide receiver Drelon Miller and four-star linebacker Tyanthony Smith have received predictions to land with Texas A&M, according to Rivals/Aggies insider Landyn Rosow.

Miller, who’s entering his senior season at Silsbee High School in Silsbee, Texas, is currently positioned as the 55th-ranked player, 12th-ranked wide receiver, and 10th-ranked prospect in Texas, has been at arm’s length with the Texas A&M for the last couple of months. Still, after his eighth unofficial visit to College Station on June 21, the tides have favored the Maroon and White.

As dynamic as they come, with the speed, versatility, and route running ability needed to thrive at the collegiate level, Drelon Miller recorded 59 receptions for 1,401 yards and 21 touchdowns, combined with 361 rushing yards and three touchdowns as by far the best player on the week during every matchup.

Smith, who remains in a recruiting battle with USC, is positioned as the 10th-ranked linebacker and the 32nd-ranked player in Texas, as the highly productive backer recorded 99 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks during his 2022 junior season, possessing a solid athletic profile (6-2, 205 pounds) paired with speed, tackling ability and sideline to sideline range to thrive at the next level.

With ten total commitments in the Aggies’ 2024 recruiting class, adding two more blue chip prospects would answer nearly every lingering question regarding the Aggies’ fabled “decline” after securing the historic 2022 class, which may never be topped. Gig ’em, Drelon and Tyanthony!
