Two CU Buffs make College Sports Wire’s list of top Pac-12 performers from Week 1

A pair of Buffs made @College_Wire’s list of the top Pac-12 performers from Week 1

The praise and accolades for the Colorado Buffaloes is not stopping anytime soon. After a thrilling victory over TCU, there are plenty of big stats to point at.

Shedeur Sanders dazzled, as did Travis Hunter and Dylan Edwards, and Deion Sanders earned his first win with the Buffs.

Patrick Conn of College Sports Wire revealed his top Pac-12 performers of the week and both Shedeur Sanders (top passer) and Edwards (top receiver) made the list. Here’s what Conn wrote on Colorado’s QB:

The debut of Shedeur Sanders for Colorado was a special one. After he led the offense to 565 yards of total offense and 45 points. His performance was must-see TV and it showed that the Buffs were here to win some games in 2023.

Sanders set a ton of school records in his debut, and freshman running back Dylan Edwards also had a massive game in his college debut:

The former Notre Dame commit put on a show in Week 1. The freshman from Derby, Kansas had four touchdowns on 11 touches. When the Buffs take the field against Nebraska, keep an eye on the electric play of No. 3.

The rest of the team was Oregon RB Bucky Irving, Washington TE Jack Westover, UCLA pass rusher Laiatu Latu, Washington State DB Jayden Hicks and Utah punter Jack Bouwmeester.

There should be Buffs on this weekly list quite often.
