Former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement on Tuesday and that launched a slew of memories and jokes about his incredible career.
Gronk was one of the greatest tight ends ever to play the game, and while his stats don’t add up with the other greats like Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates, the former Patriots tight end was an unstoppable force for a number of seasons — even after he underwent more surgeries than anyone could count.
His career was epic, both on and off the field. And while some aren’t sure this retirement is for real — he already came out of retirement once — the Twitter world took time to share some of their favorite moments from Gronk’s career.
