The New England Patriots defeated the New York Jets by a 15-10 score on Sunday.
It wasn’t pretty, but thanks to a big helping hand from the Patriots defense, quarterback Mac Jones and company got the job done in the end. Jones passed for 201 yards and a touchdown against a tough Jets defense.
Running the football was the theme on Sunday afternoon, especially in rainy conditions. Patriots running back Ezekiel Elliott carried the ball 16 times for 80 yards and helped pace the New England rushing attack.
For the Patriots overall, it was a day of inconsistencies. But a win is still a win. New England got their first victory of the season, as they look to stay afloat in a difficult AFC East division.
