The first quarter of Auburn’s game with Penn State is still in the early stages and has already seen its first highlight.
On Penn State’s first possession, the Nittany Lions faced 3rd down and 9 from their own 39-yard line. Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford had intentions to pass on the long third down play, but elected to run for the first down instead.
He appeared to have open space to achieve the necessary yards but was met by Auburn linebacker Owen Pappoe, who delivered a crushing blow to the Nittany Lion signal caller, forcing a fumble.
