Twitter reacts to sophomore guard D’Marco Dunn entering the transfer portal.

Another one bites the dust as [autotag]D’Marco Dunn[/autotag] becomes the seventh Tar Heel to enter the transfer portal.

As soon as you thought UNC’s portal woes were over, it was announced the sophomore would clean out his locker. Dunn was a former four-star guard who was a part of the 2021 class.

Dunn’s role was less prominent than some might have hoped, going from an average of 4.1 minutes per game to 10.2. However, when given the opportunity, Dunn showcased why he was one of the best recruits in the nation. Against Louisville, Dunn logged 26 minutes, finishing with 14 points on 5 for 7 shooting.

Unsurprisingly, the news produced significant reactions on social media. Many pondered if that meant five-star guard Elliot Cadeau was reclassifying to the 2023 class. Others pointed at Dunn being another loss for Hubert Davis.

Despite the mixed reactions, we all agree Dunn will be a star at his next destination.
