Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix made the first (preseason) start of his NFL career against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.
Nix played about as well as the Broncos could have hoped for, completing eight of his nine pass attempts for 80 yards with one touchdown pass and no turnovers. He also rushed three times for 12 yards. The rookie quarterback played two drives that led to 10 points (Nix also had one touchdown pass nullified by a penalty).
Here’s a sampling of how Twitter/X reacted to Nix’s performance:

Bo Nix is QB1.

Preseason stats blah blah blah, but Bo Nix is doing exactly what he has to do to end this QB competition in Denver. So far tonight he's 8-of-9, 80 yards passing and a TD vs. GB (backups).

Against backups but there hasn’t been anything crazy in terms of talent differential, biggest thing I wanted to see was improved play in the pocket and reading things out fully. Won’t know fully until the tape, but it looks like both were there.

When Bo Nix is in, the Broncos offense moves the ball.
It sort of seems like it's that simple.

Bo can ball.

My boy just asked for a Bo Nix jersey and I've never been more happy in my life.

There's no way that Bo Nix doesn't start the season as the @Broncos QB. Sorry Stiddy.

Sean Payton should get on the stadium microphone and name Bo Nix the starter.
— Zach Bye (@byesline) August 19, 2024
Yes. It’s preseason.
Yes. Bo Nix looks very comfortable.
— Louis Riddick (@LRiddickESPN) August 19, 2024
Bo Nix looks very worthy of being the only quarterback Sean Payton has ever drafted in the first round.
— Ed Werder (@WerderEdESPN) August 19, 2024
Bo Nix is so fun to watch. They move the ball so easily when he’s in….wouldnt be surprised if Sean Payton names him the starter
I was in the Broncos QB Mtg Room Thursday night and it was so cool to watch how Bo Nix learns. Davis Webb does such a good job with that entire room.
— Chase Daniel (@ChaseDaniel) August 19, 2024
Yea, Bo Nix is the guy.
I don’t care if it’s preseason. He’s the guy.
All the potential is there. And I’m willing to let him grow as a player through the mistakes.
He’s the guy.
— Jeremy Nicolls (@JeremyNicolls) August 19, 2024
I think we can all agree: Bo Nix is the starter, and Bo Nix for President.

Nix has been competing with Jarrett Stidham for Denver’s starting job this summer. Following Sunday’s impressive performance, it’s hard to imagine anyone but Nix starting for the Broncos when they face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1 on Sept. 8. Denver seems likely to announce a starter this week.
Six of Nix’s seven preseason drives ended with a score (the other drive ended with a fumble). Consider us Bolivers.
