Twitter reacts to Auburn beating South Carolina

Auburn fans had plenty to cheer about during Auburn’s fifth straight win.

For the second time this week, the No. 16 Auburn Tigers took down an SEC opponent on the road.

This time, they beat the South Carolina Gamecocks 81-66 in Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina.

The Tigers quickly took control of the game, taking a 9-2 lead with 17:09 left in the first half. That lead only grew in the first half as they had a commanding 39-22 lead at halftime.

While the Gamecocks were briefly able to cut the lead to 10 in the second half it wouldn’t last as the Tigers quickly built the lead back up to 64-50 to put the game away.

[autotag]Johni Broome[/autotag] and [autotag]Wendell Green Jr.[/autotag] led the charge for Auburn. Broome scored a season-high 27 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double.

Green also finished with a double-double, scoring 16 points to go with a season-high 12 assists.
