Notre Dame is on to the Second Round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament after taking down sixth-seeded Alabama on Friday afternoon in San Diego. The Irish, who were said by the committee chair to be the last team included in the dance, used a 13-5 run early in the second half to stretch the lead to 61-47 and never looked back.
Cormac Ryan had a huge day for the Irish as he led all scorers with 29 points. He was lights out from beyond the arc early in setting up the Notre Dame victory.
