Twitter compares Drew Brees to Jameis Winston after costly interception

See what Twitter had to say about New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees after he threw a costly pick against the Minnesota Vikings.

Poor Jameis Winston.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, who became the first player in NFL history to throw for 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in a season, will have to wait and see what the future holds for him with the Bucs franchise.

Head coach Bruce Arians said the team will evaluate the quarterback in the coming weeks, but that an announcement of their decision won’t be imminent.

For his part, Winston can hang his hat on the fact that he also became the first quarterback in Buccaneers history, and the eighth in NFL history, to throw for over 5,000 yards in a season.

Still, those 30 interceptions are a glaring blemish on his NFL resume. And, even though he isn’t playing this weekend in the Wild Card round of the postseason, fans on Twitter still can’t resist roasting the quarterback.

Case in point — after New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees threw a costly interception towards the ends of the first half against the Minnesota Vikings, which eventually led to a Vikings touchdown, fans compared the future Hall of Famer to the Bucs quarterback.

Take a look.
