If you’re a Miami Dolphins fan who has been dreaming of Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as your franchise quarterback, you’re not alone.
In fact, the Tagovailoa family is now making it known that they would prefer Tua land in Miami.
Speaking on a radio show during Super Bowl week, Tua’s father says he hopes his son lands with the Dolphins (per iHeartRadio’s Andy Slater):
Tua wants to get drafted by the Dolphins?
Early Thursday on radio row, @FoxSports640 producer @sdiener86 told Tua’s dad he hopes his son gets taken by Miami.
Tua’s father said “so do we.”

The Dolphins currently hold the No. 5 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, but also have two more first-rounders, in addition to a pair of second-round picks. That gives them plenty of ammo should they feel the need to trade up a couple of spots to make sure they get their man, if that’s in fact Tua.
There’s certainly a need for a new franchise passer in Miami, and if Tua’s medicals check out, he could be the guy to transform this once proud team back into a contender.
We’ll see if Tua and his family get their way on draft weekend.
