Preseason Heisman favorite Tua Tagovailoa entered Camping World Stadium on one crutch and was forced to watch from the sideline as his Crimson Tide teammates beat Michigan on Wednesday in the VRBO Citrus Bowl. Tagovailoa last played for Alabama on November 16th in a game against Mississippi State, but was forced to leave after suffering a serious hip injury that required surgery. Tagovailoa is still projected to be one of the top QB prospects in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft class, and he revealed on Wednesday when he will announce his decision to either leave Alabama or stay for a senior season.
Tagovailoa will announce his draft decision on Monday, January 6th.
I’ll be making my decision on the 6th.. God bless and Roll Tide

There have been rumors that Tagovailoa could potentially return to the Crimson Tide for one last season, and during the broadcast of the Citrus Bowl, former Alabama QB Greg McElroy, who now works as an ESPN commentator, speculated that Tagovailoa may come back to prove to NFL teams that he can still compete at the highest level.
Given Tagovailoa’s injury and recovery timeline, he still needs months of rehabilitation before he can begin playing football again, and his injury history isn’t helping his draft stock. Should he return to school, he’d once again be considered one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy alongside Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence, the top prospect in the projected NFL Draft class of 2021.
