Trinity Thomas is returning to the Swamp.
The legendary Florida gymnast is staying in Gainesville for another to pursue a second master’s degree and will be a student coach for the program she broke records with. thomas announced the news on the CBS Sports Network Monday.
She graduated with a master’s in Health Education & Behavior in May after receiving her bachelor’s in Applied Physiology & Kinesiology – Fitness Wellness cum laude.
Thomas spent five years competing for the Gators and won two Honda Awards — an award given to the nation’s top female athlete in 12 different collegiate sports. She is a 34-time All-American (11 NCAA/23 WCGA Regular Season), the NCAA career 10.0 leader (28) and a three-time SEC Gymnast of the Year.

Thomas will reunite with her former teammate, Megan Skaggs, who is the assistant to the head coach, on Jenny Rowland’s staff. Associate head coach Adiran Burde, assistant head coach Owen Field and volunteer coach Jeremy Miranda round out the staff.
