Former Vol Trey Lipscomb hits first career MLB home run.

Cincinatti (2-1) defeated Washington (1-2), 6-5, on Sunday at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Former Vol Trey Lipscomb started at third base for the Nationals. He went 2-for-3 and hit his first career Major League Baseball home run. The former Vol recorded one RBI, two runs and one walk for Washington.

Lipscomb made his MLB debut on March 30 after former Vol Nick Senzel was placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to March 27, due to a fractured right thumb.

Lipscomb played at Tennessee from 2019-22 and appeared in 103 games, including 78 starts.

He was selected by Washington in the third-round of the 2022 Major League Baseball draft (No. 84 overall).
