Fredericksburg is a Single-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals.

Lipscomb extended his hitting streak to seven games Wednesday in Fredericksburg’s 7-1 win versus the Down East Wood Ducks.

The former Vol started at third base and went 1-for-4, recording one run.

Lipscomb was selected by Washington in the third round (No. 84 overall) of the 2022 MLB draft.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Lipscomb appeared in 66 games for the Vols in 2022. He totaled 22 home runs, 84 RBIs, 68 runs, 89 hits, 19 doubles, three triples, 26 walks and four stolen bases.

Tennessee won the Southeastern Conference East division for the second consecutive season, the league regular season and tournament championships in 2022.
