As expected, the Cincinnati Bengals continue to deal with key injuries ahead of the team’s Week 5 showdown with the Baltimore Ravens.
Earlier in the week, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor wasn’t willing to comment on the outlook for injured star Trey Hendrickson.
A report about Hendrickson’s injury, though, suggested the edge rusher avoided a serious injury.
Fast forward to Wednesday’s practice, Hendrickson was out there working with his teammates. Before the practice sessions, Taylor made it very clear that his best overall defensive player wouldn’t need to practice this week to actually play against the Ravens, anyway.
So, no matter what the injury report says, early signs are good on the Hendrickson front.
Not only that, the Bengals made a couple of critical roster moves with other defenders coming back from injury. That might not equate to immediate help against Derrick Henry and a dominant Ravens running game, but help is on the way in the coming weeks.
