Trevor Warner is making a case to move up to Double-A ball after a strong few games

Former Aggie third baseman Trevor Werner had himself a week after blasting three homers across two games.

Aggie football kicks off the 2023 season on September 2nd against the New Mexico Lobos at Kyle Field, but that doesn’t mean we can’t talk a little baseball, especially when it comes to Aggie favorite Trevor Warner.

The Kansas City Royals decided to take a chance at pick 199 of the 7th round on Texas A&M third baseman Trevor Warner and he’s been impressive as of late. Currently, with the Single-A Columbia Fireflies, Werner has made his presence known in the short 16 games he’s been with the team so far. Below are just a few of stats from while with the Royals affiliate.

  • Batting average – .315
  • OBP/OPS – .398/1.014
  • Homeruns – 4
  • RBI – 19
  • Stolen Bases – 5

Three of the four homeruns have come in the last couple of games.

We are glad to see Werner making progress through the minors and hope to see him get called up in the next few years.
