The Jacksonville Jaguars have finally won a game for the first time since Week 1 of the 2020 season, and their rookie quarterback gave them plenty of reasons to be excited about the future.
Trevor Lawrence, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft, completed 25 of his 41 passes for 319 yards and a touchdown as the Jaguars stole a 23-20 victory from the Miami Dolphins in London on Sunday.
Lawrence made clutch plays with the game on the line, helping the Jags set up a pair of 50-plus yard field goals in the final minutes to tie and win the game.
There’s still plenty of work to be done in Jacksonville, but they have the most crucial piece of the puzzle with their young franchise quarterback.
