Trevor Lawrence, 2 others return to Jaguars practice Thursday

Trevor Lawrence and two other Jaguars returned to practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, cornerback Darious Williams, and offensive lineman Brandon Scherff were all back at practice with the Jacksonville Jaguars and participated on a limited basis Thursday after sitting out the day before due to injuries.

Lawrence is still nursing a sprained toe that didn’t keep him out of action in Week 14, while Williams and Scherff are both dealing with abdominal injuries.

Still out of action was No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker, who suffered a high ankle sprain in the Jaguars’ win over the Tennessee Titans.

Between the nature of the injury and Walker missing two straight days, it appears likely that the rookie will miss his first career game. Behind him on the depth chart is former first-round pick K’Lavon Chaisson, who recently returned from a nearly two-month stint on injured reserve. The team could also lean on veterans Arden Key and Dawuane Smoot if Walker is out of action.

For the Dallas Cowboys, nothing changed on the injury front from Wednesday to Thursday. The only addition to the report was former Jaguars pass rusher Dante Fowler Jr, who didn’t practice due to personal reasons.

Defensive linemen Durance Armstrong and DeMarcus Lawrence, who both remained limited, are second and third on the Cowboys in sacks, respectively.
