Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce is fully on board with Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes.
While taking questions at a Super Bowl media event on Tuesday, Kelce was asked by DNVR Buffs to predict how many games Colorado will win next season. His response may have been tongue-in-cheek, but it remained an entertaining moment.
“Undefeated, I’m taking Prime every single time,” Kelce said. “I’m not a betting man, but my money’s on Prime.”
Although Kelce probably wasn’t aware, an undefeated record would have Colorado beating his alma mater Cincinnati on Oct. 26.
This isn’t the first time Kelce has shown his support for Coach Prime. Last summer, the two-time Super Bowl champion said he’d like to interview Sanders on his podcast.
“I’ve always been a big Deion Sanders fan,” Kelce said. “(He’s) one of the best college coaches out there right now. Everything he touches turns to gold.”
