The Kansas City Chiefs managed to keep their undefeated record intact against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7, and while star tight end Travis Kelce caught four passes in the winning effort, he was limited to just 17 receiving yards.
Kelce has gotten off to a slow start in the 2024 regular season, but is still one of the Chiefs’ most valuable offensive weapons, especially given Kansas City’s injury situation.
With Rashee Rice and Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown on injured reserve, Kelce has remained one of Patrick Mahomes favorite targets, even if the ball isn’t being thrown his way as often as usual.
The All-Pro pass catcher spoke to NFL reporter Darren Smith in the Chiefs’ locker room after Kansas City’s 28-18 win over the 49ers and shared his thoughts on the Super Bowl LVIII rematch.
Check out this video of Kelce’s comments, which was posted to Twitter by Smith on Sunday evening:
After the Chiefs won their sixth (to start the season), 12th (since their last loss) and fifth (consecutive over the Niners) game 28-18 over San Francisco, I got a chance to speak with tight end Travis Kelce about the win, players stepping up, and playoff baseball #ChiefsKingdom pic.twitter.com/4MGNWnErXP

Expect Kelce to be heavily involved in Kansas City’s game plan for Week 8, when the Chiefs are set to face the Las Vegas Raiders in an AFC West showdown.
