As hard as it is to see players leave via the transfer portal, it’s always exciting to see new names join the team. Florida has already lost its leading receiver and second-leading tackler to the portal, but Billy Napier is looking to the portal to fill out his roster.
The one-time transfer exemption students now have has created a free agency of sorts within college football. That can help programs create a new identity, especially when there’s a coaching change.
Napier has already brought over several members of his former staff at Lousiana-Lafayette, and nearly every Ragin’ Cajun that’s in the portal has been linked to Florida.
