Touchdown, Lakers: LeBron James throws long ball to Talen Horton-Tucker

LeBron James played a little bit of quarterback on Saturday night against the Detroit Pistons.

The Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James, in particular, love to throw the ball around and pretend they’re playing on Sundays. The Lakers also have an established pastime of playing Madden NFL Football as a squad, but everyone knows LeBron James is their quarterback on the floor. James runs the show and he also has an innate ability to get the ball to his teammates right where they need it to be.

On Saturday night, James displayed that ability to get the ball to his teammates and had fun connecting with one of the Lakers most exciting young players, second-year guard Talen Horton-Tucker. LeBron gave us his best Patrick Mahomes/Tom Brady impersonation in the final seconds of Saturday’s third quarter against Detroit.

The Lakers took an 88-78 lead into the fourth quarter but the Pistons have already beaten them once before this season. The Lakers will not play on Super Bowl Sunday, so James and Co. will have plenty of time to watch and chat about the game.
