Torrel Harris: If I had been representing Pippen back then, I would’ve explained why such a long extension was risky and advised him not to sign it. I would’ve stressed that in meeting after meeting. But if he still wanted to take the deal, there’s not much that an agent can do. It can be very frustrating when you don’t agree with a decision that your client is making, especially when you know that it could come back to bite them later. But we work for the player and, at the end of the day, it’s their contract and their life.
