Toronto snapped a three-game losing skid by taking down the Los Angeles Lakers 121-114 as a 10-point road underdog Sunday.

This is the final of a four-game Western Conference road swing for the 11th-place Raptors, who need this game like blood for a playoff push.

The Clippers have lost three in a row following a four-game winning streak and are just 2-5 against the spread over those seven contests.

This is the first Raptors-Clippers meeting this season. L.A. swept last season’s series 2-0 in SF Kawhi Leonard‘s first season with the Clippers after bouncing on Toronto during free agency in 2019.

PASS because Toronto’s motivation is very questionable at this point, but no way would I lay -450 with the Clippers or any NBA regular-season favorite for that matter.

Against the spread (ATS)

“LEAN” to the CLIPPERS -9.5 (-110) for a half unit because Toronto is without four of its top-6 scorers, L.A. is the best 3-point shooting team in the Association and the Raptors are 25th in both 3-point attempts allowed per game and defensive 3-point shooting percentage.

The Clippers can create margin here because they have the seventh-best defensive 3-point shooting percentage and the Raptors have the worst defensive FTA/FG rate.

I’m not crazy about laying double digits with L.A. here, but Toronto looks checked out of this season and the Clippers are 6-3 ATS when laying between 10-12 points.

Over/Under (O/U)

“LEAN” to the OVER 218.5 (-110) for a half unit because I think the Clippers score into the lower to mid-120s due to the Raptors’ defensive flaws

Furthermore, L.A.’s offense is due for a bounce-back effort since it has put up more than 117 points since April 18 and the market is barreling into the Under, which gives us a “fade the market” angle.

According to Pregame.com, nearly 85% of the money is on the Under, which has steamed the total down from the 221.5-point opener. Perhaps wait closer to tip-off for a better price, but for now, I’m on the OVER 218.5 (-110).
